Usnea, also known as old man’s beard, is a type of lichen that grows on the trees, bushes, rocks, and soil of temperate and humid climates worldwide. It is known as the lungs of the forest and has long been used in traditional medicine.
Nowadays, Usnea is commonly used to fight respiratory illness, soothe sore throats, accelerate wound healing, and reduce pain and fever. This usnea was foraged during the stormy season on the California coast, as you only want to take what the trees let go of.
Ingredients: Usnea foraged on the central coast of California, Purified water, Organic vodka
Suggested use: take 1 dropper full (25-30 drops) on tongue or in 2 oz of water or juice 2-5 times daily at onset of flu like symptoms. Use for 4-7 days only for general colds/flu. Use for 7-14 days for severe colds/flu/lung issues. Do not exceed 14 days of use without giving your body a break from the tincture. Can cause kidney damage if taken too long. Store it in a cool, dark place with the lid tightly sealed.
